The idea for this blog came from the amount of time I have had since finishing school in August. I have spent the last 21 years, 84% of my life, in school....Elementary, High school, a BA, a B.ed and now an MA. Through that time I spent very little time cooking, and even less time baking. Meals were necessities and seldom did I experiment with ingredients. Lately, with all my extra time I have been cooking more, learning how to bake and enjoying the process. I still live at home so I am lucky enough to be financially supported and thus can enjoy baking, while I search for a job.
This blog is my documentation of the recipes I make. It is not about being perfect at baking, it is about having fun with recipes and testing my limits. All of the recipes will be free of meat, fish and Gelatin and from various sources (which I will credit of course). Some recipes I have adapted because of my intense dislike of some ingredients, or simply because I do not have them. I will eventually attempt to take pictures of the end product, but that may be an occasional thing rather than the norm.
I hope that the readers (if anyone finds this) will be people who are also wanting to learn, to have fun with the food they eat. Someone who does not know where to start and is just looking for a fun recipe or two.
I have no idea how long this will last....how often I will update.. but I hope you enjoy it!
